trajectorE Engineering Expands Process Engineering Capabilities Through Acquisition of Thibault & Associates Inc.

A strategic expansion of trajectorE’s process engineering capabilities throughout North America.

St. John’s, NL trajectorE Engineering Inc. (“trajectorE”) today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the technical knowhow, intellectual property, and historical project archives of Thibault & Associates Inc. (TAI), a respected firm with more than 40 years of experience in mineral processing and hydrometallurgical flowsheet development.

The agreement represents a strategic expansion of trajectorE’s process engineering capabilities, particularly in complex extraction and refining technologies across commodities including antimony, tungsten, gold, and specialty metals.

As part of the transition, J. Dean Thibault, founder of TAI, will join trajectorE as a Senior Process Technical Advisor. In this role, he will support knowledge transfer, mentorship, and contribute directly to client projects.

“I am so excited to be once again teaming up with Dean and adding his vast knowhow in the mining industry as well as his brilliance in hydrometallurgical process development to the trajectorE brandsaid Don Stevens, COO of trajectorE. “Dean’s experience in hydrometallurgical process development is exceptional. Having worked with him earlier in my career, I’ve seen first hand the level of insight and innovation he brings. We’re excited to integrate that knowledge into our team and continue building solutions that support our clients.”

The acquisition includes decades of proprietary technical knowledge, project history, process flowsheet development knowhow, and process design expertise developed by TAI. This expanded knowledge base will enhance trajectorE’s ability to support clients from early-stage studies through to operational readiness and production optimization.

“After over four decades in the industry, it’s important to see this body of work live on and continue to create value,” said J. Dean Thibault. “trajectorE has built a strong reputation for practical, operations-focused engineering and I’m looking forward to supporting the team and contributing to the next generation of projects.”

This milestone reinforces trajectorE’s continued growth across North America and its commitment to delivering high-impact engineering solutions for the mining and mineral processing industry.
